Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location: Macungie, PA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day shift, 4x12-hour schedule (11:00 AM - 11:30 PM). Weekend requirements include every other weekend.

Job Description: As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population. You will manage critical situations and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department setting.
• Administer medications and manage IVs, including continuous sedation and IV vasopressors.
• Provide care for ventilated patients and manage life-threatening conditions.
• Perform assessment, triage, and emergency interventions.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams and engage in rapid response measures.
• Maintain accurate patient records utilizing the Epic charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 1 year experience required; 2 years in a charge role preferred.
• Active PA State RN license.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
