Job Title Assembler C Job Code 36227 Job Location Londonderry, NH Job Schedule Employees work 10 hour days, 4 days a week Job Description L3Harris is looking for an Assembler to join our team. This person will contribute to the company’s success by performing a wide variety of mechanical or electro‑mechanical assembly operations on mechanical assemblies, sub‑assemblies, or end products. The incumbent will work from instructions and use hand and/or power tools, and will also make continuity checks on work in process and completed. Essential Functions Follow and comply with documents such as work instructions, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions. Assemble mechanical, optical, or electrical components and subassemblies following specified work instructions and procedures to ensure finished product meets established operational, quality, and cosmetic requirements. Continuously perform visual inspections of materials for defects and conduct any range of functional tests and cleaning at prescribed intervals to ensure proper operation of various components during assembly. Report deviations from standard to appropriate resource for review, instruction and authorization and conduct quality inspection at specified intervals. Perform accurate data and record keeping. Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures. Apply basic math skills to add and subtract two‑digit numbers. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight, measurement, volume, and distance. Work with RTV, epoxy, and other bonds/adhesives. Perform job duties in a manner that complies with environmental, health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures. Complete basic testing operations by loading units, starting test programs, and evaluating basic pass/fail criteria. Participate in meetings and working groups to solve problems, communicate issues, obtain approvals, and maintain specific level of knowledge pertaining to new requirements or policies. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior assembly experience or 2 years post‑secondary/Associate’s Degree with 0–2 years of prior assembly experience. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency at operating 25%-50% of workstations as documented by training record. Entry‑level soldering with certification, if applicable. IPC J‑STD‑001 solder certification required with entry‑level soldering, if applicable. Please be aware many of our positions require the ability to obtain a security clearance.
