Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments as ordered; document administration and monitor for adverse effects.
• Perform routine nursing assessments, monitor vital signs, wound care, and respond to resident needs during night shifts.
• Support activities of daily living (ADLs) and maintain resident safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with RNs and the interdisciplinary team to update care plans and communicate changes in resident status.
• Maintain accurate charting in the electronic medical record and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and infection control practices.
• Observe and report acute changes in condition, and escalate to the supervising nurse as appropriate.

Requirements

• Active LPN license in Alabama.
• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing settings preferred.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts on a rotating schedule (3x12) and meet the 36-hour weekly commitment.
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills; ability to work with a diverse resident population.
