Required Qualifications: Candidates must be US Citizens with the ability to obtain a clearance. 10+ years of experience as a Civil Engineer on complex multimillion dollar construction projects. Hold a current Professional Engineering license. Experience with USACE's 3-Phase QC/Inspection process, EM 385-1-1 USACE Safety Manual, and the Resident Management System (RMS) is preferred. Experience using Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. Position requires frequent and recurring construction inspections, which include walking, climbing, stooping, and bending at various elevations and uneven terrain. Job Description: We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer for complex, multimillion dollar construction projects. Work will be at Columbus Air Force Base, near Columbus, Mississippi. Duties may include, but not be limited to, the following: Review and comment on Contractor submittals. Review and comment on Contractor questions. Review and comment on Contractor RFIs/RFCs. Make written recommendations to the COR. Assist in preparing change order documents. Make construction-minded determinations of practicability and meeting contract requirements.
