As a key member of our team, you’ll be able to use your unique experience to help support positive patient experiences within Respiratory Therapy. In this role, you will lead and support staff to achieve departmental goals and enhance processes within our service line. You will coordinate and educate team members on the latest evidence-based practices across all acute care areas, assessing and evaluating quality and workflow to ensure high standards of care. You will oversee department resources in daily operations and provide management support in the Director of Respiratory Care’s absence. Salary Range: $52.16 - $115.66 Hourly Job Qualifications 5 years relevant respiratory therapy leadership experience Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential and currently certified Respiratory Care Practitioner, State of California Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) Demonstrate strong clinical expertise with a solid understanding of clinical practice, procedures, and related equipment. Knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, JCAHO standards, infection control practices, and other regulatory requirements. Ability to lead staff, coordinate schedules, and manage departmental operations Skill in assessing patient needs, prioritizing interventions, and providing guidance to staff. Effectively communicate with physicians, nurses, patients, and families; facilitate interdisciplinary teamwork. Ability to educate staff on new techniques, equipment, and policies. Resolve staffing, equipment, or patient care issues efficiently. Managing departmental finances, supplies, and equipment inventory. Lead quality-improvement efforts that enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency. Resolve interpersonal conflicts within teams and across departments with professionalism and care. Perform well under pressure and make timely decisions in urgent or high-stress situations. Build a positive team environment by motivating staff, supporting morale, and fostering professional growth. Preferred Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS) Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certificate (NRP) As a condition of employment, the final candidate who accepts an offer of employment will be required to disclose if they have been subject to any final administrative or judicial decisions within the last seven years determining that they committed any misconduct; or have filed an appeal of a finding of substantiated misconduct with a previous employer.
