Quality Technician I

Specialty Coating Systems

Responsibilities Conduct quality checks, inspections and assessments. Approve and release products to and from quality status steps or stations. Execute DR, CAR / PAR, and RFC systems. Act as auditor for internal, ISO and customer audits as assigned. Assist in inspection of incoming and completed customer‑supplied product to ensure conformance. Ensure calibration of tools and equipment is complete and documented. Maintain a neat and orderly work area. Adhere to plant and corporate safety policies. Assist in other areas or perform other duties as required by fluctuating business needs. Education and/or Experience Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two‑year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills Read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Write speeches and articles for publication conforming to prescribed style and format. Effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Mathematical Skills Apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Apply mathematical operations to tasks such as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. Reasoning Ability Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions. Additional Competencies Required to Perform Job Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to read, write and follow written or verbal instructions. Ability to speak, read and write English. Self‑motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
