License: Valid state license required. Certifications: ACLS BLS RRT NRP (if applicable) PALS (if applicable) Must-Have: Experience in adult critical care. Key skills in using BiPAP, CPAP, and high flow nasal cannula. Ability to interpret arterial blood gases. Description: This position is for a night shift Respiratory Therapist in an acute care hospital environment. The role involves covering multiple units including ICU, ED, MS, and NICU. Candidates with prior experience in Level II trauma centers are preferred. The hospital operates with a staffing model of 7-10 Respiratory Therapists based on patient census. Responsibilities include administering respiratory treatments, performing assessments, and monitoring patients in critical care settings. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical ventilation and manage tracheostomy care is required. Experience with specialty equipment like Bipap-V60 and High-Flow is needed. All candidates must have certifications through recognized organizations. Floating to other units may be required based on the needs of the facility. Candidates must possess up-to-date certifications and have a valid license in hand. Previous experience within the last year in a similar role is necessary. All responsibilities must be performed in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
