Certified Medical AssistantKey Responsibilities Duties:Greet and prepare patients for examinations and proceduresObtain and document vital signs, medical history, and reason for visitAssist providers with examinations, treatments, and minor proceduresAdminister injections and perform EKGs, venipuncture, and other lab procedures as neededMaintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) systemProvide patient education and instructions as directed by the providerEnsure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and properly set upSupport quality improvement initiatives, including patient recall, preventive screenings, and care gap closuresAssist with scheduling, referrals, and prior authorizations as neededFollow infection control and safety proceduresJob Requirements:Must have a CMA or RMA current certification3 years of experience in primary careAbility to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication and critical-thinking skills.Previous EMR/EHR experience with NextGen is a plus.Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical protocols.Hours: Monday – Thursday 7:15 am-4:00 pm, Friday 7:15 am-2:45 pm (must be flexible) and available for Saturday clinic at least once a month from 8am-12pmBilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required.
