Warehouse Associate

Position Summary The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for using safe lifting techniques, efficiently sorting, handling, loading, and unloading freight from over-the-road equipment, containers, city trailers, and/or straight trucks. The Warehouse Associate uses hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts in the loading and unloading of freight and other job duties as assigned. This position requires successful completion of a criminal background check as a condition of employment. Certain felony convictions and convictions involving violence, theft, abuse, dishonesty, or breach of trust may disqualify candidates based on the nature of the position and applicable law. Customer Focus Drive for Results Ethics and Values Problem Solving Functional/Technical Learning Managing and Measuring Work Timely Decision Making Learning on the Fly Perseverance Composure Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Operates all material handling equipment in a safe manner Works with different departments to meet demands of the business Communicates any issues to the supervisor that can arise from loading and unloading Keeping up to date with new systems and technology Participates in daily inventory processes, auditing and researching discrepancies Demonstrates reliability and commitment to punctuality Performs all job tasks as assigned (may vary depending on client requirements) Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Ability to work well with a team Ability to work overtime (as needed) to meet operational and customer demands Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
