Powerwell is a leading recruitment firm helping our clients discover top talent. We are recruiting for a Financial Consultant. Candidates must be located in the Syracuse, NY region and will be allowed to work remote.

Summary:

\n

As a Financial Consultant, you will collaborate with our current client's clients while simultaneously developing new relationships across various client types (such as high net worth individuals, endowments & foundations, businesses, and qualified plans). Our client's current investment services include retirement planning/cash-flow modeling, estate plan reviews and recommendations, tax planning, and insurance advice.

\n

You will be part of an advisory team which will maintain regular contact with clients and ensure each client remains on track to achieving their unique goals. This is a consultative sales role with an expectation to promote our advisory capabilities and investment solutions to grow our base over time. You will report to the Managing Director of Wealth Management.

Location:

This position is remote; however, candidates must be based in Syracuse, NY, or the surrounding areas. Candidates outside of these locations will not be considered.

Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Work to establish a level of trust and confidence with our client to serve as the main advisor for their wealth management needs.
\n
• Discuss client investment goals with consideration given to risk tolerance, asset allocation preferences, cash flow requirements, tax sensitivity, and potential life events.
\n
• Work with the advisory team to implement investment plans and coordinate adjustments.
\n
• Monitor client investment portfolios and performance.
\n
• Communicate insights for clients regarding essential contributors and detractors.
\n
• Advise high net worth clients as needed and consult mid-market institutional clients.
\n
• Coordinate the creation of detailed wealth management plans for individuals.
\n
• Organize the creation consulting reports for institutions.
\n
• Help present plans to clients effectively and clearly.
\n
• Actively seek new business opportunities.
\n
• Develop essential knowledge of our financial planning software and technology.
\n
• Clearly and regularly track all client and prospect interactions using our CRM (Salesforce).
\n
• Participate in regular internal meetings.
\n
• Work on a schedule that best suits client needs.
\n

Qualifications:

\n

\n
• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
\n
• Over five years’ relevant experience.
\n
• Series 6, 63, & 65 or Series 7 & 66 required or willing to pursue upon hire.
\n
• Certified Financial PlannerTM or comparable professional designation preferred, or the willingness to pursue a comparable designation.
\n
• Experience with Salesforce.com, Sales Navigator, and LinkedIn is preferred.
\n
• Must be able to pass a FINRA BrokerCheck with no disclosures on their background.
\n
• Comfortable working in a new territory with no existing client base.
\n
• Be able to network well, find your own leads, create leads, and follow up on leads.
\n
• A proven record of achieving new business.
\n

• Compensation: $75k-150k base salary depending on experience; additional incentive/commission -based compensation expected.
