The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing preventive dental care, assisting patients with oral hygiene, and supporting the dentist in various clinical duties. You will work closely with patients to promote their oral health and ensure they receive the highest quality care.

Job Description

- Perform routine dental cleanings (scaling and polishing) to remove plaque, tartar, and stains from teeth.
- Examine patients for signs of oral diseases, such as gum disease, cavities, and abnormalities.
- Take and develop dental X-rays, interpreting results and sharing findings with the dentist.
- Provide education and instruction to patients on proper brushing, flossing, and other oral hygiene practices.
- Apply fluoride treatments and sealants to prevent tooth decay.
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, such as fillings, extractions, and other treatments.
- Record and maintain accurate patient medical histories and dental charts.
- Monitor and track patient progress, offering recommendations for improvement when needed.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
- Stay current with dental hygiene advancements, new technologies, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards within the dental practice.
- Help create a comfortable and positive patient experience.
