Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Night shift, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, Monday through Friday only (no weekends).

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department is responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care. The role includes evaluating patient outcomes, consulting with specialists, and adjusting nursing care processes to ensure optimal patient care and flow through the Emergency Room. The nurse will meet the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of patient care, while effectively communicating with patients and their families. Critical communication with ED physicians regarding patient status and diagnostic study results is essential. The nurse must be capable of responding quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response.

Provide direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Department.

Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust nursing care processes as needed.

Communicate effectively with patients, families, and ED physicians.

Respond quickly to changes in patient status and treatment responses.

Meet the psychosocial and physical care needs of patients.

Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Illinois.

BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.

ENPC, TNCC, and/or TNS certifications preferred.
