Associate Pastor

With the recent departure of a pastor who accepted a call to a Senior Pastor position, we seek an Associate Pastor who has a firm, mature spiritual life centered on our Lord, Jesus Christ, with the following qualifications and attributes: M.Div. from an accredited Christian Seminary; certified LCMC pastor, or in process; Three years congregational experience (preferred); Excellent oral and written communications skills, including ability to present well-organized, clear and biblically sound sermons and written materials from a Lutheran perspective; expected to preach at about 40% of our worship services; Teaching and primary leadership for adult faith formation, to encompass: outreach, education, service and fellowship via small groups. Ability to relate to individuals of all ages – to include members of the church staff; will share in pastoral care; Ability to effectively engage in Outreach and Mission activities in contemporary society –especially through electronic and social media; #J-18808-Ljbffr Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ
