Event Associate

Overview The Event Associate will provide thoughtful product recommendations tailored to each athlete’s skill level. In this role, you will support the Field/Lead Coach for in‑store sport events, assist with DICK’S sponsored camps, clinics, and programs, and bring passion and expertise to the experiential store. Responsibilities Deliver the highest level of customer service, ensuring teammates embody DICK’S common purpose and provide engaging, athlete‑first experiences. Assist the Field Lead/Coach with field programming, guiding athletes to have fun, participate safely, and enjoy the events. Build relationships with local schools, community organizations, sports leagues, and homeschool groups to secure partnerships and event opportunities. Collaborate with the Community Team to bring clinics, camps, and after‑school programming to the Field. Provide teammate training and coaching, including one‑on‑one conversations, group sessions, and role‑play exercises. Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment. Adhere to all loss‑prevention standards. Promote company programs such as warranty sales, the Scorecard loyalty program, private‑label credit cards, and seasonal promotions. Ensure product experts deliver consultative advice, demonstrating excellent product knowledge. Complete additional assignments as directed by management. Qualifications At least two years of customer‑service experience (preferred). Strong customer‑service orientation. Excellent detail orientation. Targeted Pay Range: $16.50 - $24.50. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience, and position offered.
