QA Automation Engineer

Job Summary:

The QA Engineer Automated 3 is an experienced professional responsible for designing and implementing automated testing scripts to ensure software quality. This role involves prioritizing test scenarios, creating execution plans, and documenting automated processes. The engineer works independently on complex tasks, applying creativity and judgment to achieve goals, with a focus on healthcare applications and automation tools such as Katalon. Responsibilities:

• Design automated tests by creating scripts to run testing functions automatically.
• Prioritize test scenarios and develop execution plans for their implementation.
• Create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and prepare test environments.
• Perform moderately complex functional, application, and regression testing.
• Interpret requirement documents and update test documentation accordingly.
• Analyze, plan, and report on testing progress and outcomes.
• Collaborate with customers and technical/non-technical teams during the test cycle.
• Acquire and apply knowledge of the customer s business in the assigned area.
• Design documentation for automated testing processes.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• 8 or more years of experience in QA automation engineering.
• Strong experience designing automated test scripts and execution plans.
• Proficiency in creating test plans, test cases, and preparing test environments.
• Experience performing functional, application, and regression testing.
• Knowledge of software development life cycle and methodologies.
• Ability to interpret and update requirement and test documents.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Proven ability to work with both technical and non-technical groups.
• Experience testing healthcare applications.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience with Katalon automation software.
• Familiarity with Texas DIR Project Delivery Framework and document templates.
• Knowledge of company information architecture and information management methodologies.
• Understanding of existing and planned software technology and architecture components.

Special Considerations:

• May require working closely with customers during testing cycles.
• Experience testing healthcare-related software is highly valued.
