Job Title: TechnologistLabcorp is seeking a Technologist to join our team in Dublin, OH.$7,500 Sign-On Bonus (External Candidates Only)Work Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM, Rotating HolidaysJob ResponsibilitiesDetermine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteriaPerform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating ProceduresMonitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionalityDemonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solvingPrepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controlsReport accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient carePerform and document preventative maintenance and quality control proceduresIdentify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessaryAssist with processing of specimens when neededMaintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipmentMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience in Microbiology OR an MLS degreePreferred Qualifications3 months or more of clinical laboratory testing experienceASCP or AMT certificationAdditional Job StandardsIn lieu of education requirements listed above, non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits that meet CLIA standards may meet education requirementsUnderstanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and proceduresExperience working in a high volume laboratory environmentAbility to work independently and within a team environmentProficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systemsHigh level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skillsAbility to handle the physical requirements of the positionAble to pass a standardized color blindness testFlexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs**Pay Range: $25.85 – $35.00 + Shift DifferentialAll job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
