Exciting Opportunity for an Experienced OR Nurse Job Description:
- Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (06:30 - 17:00)
- Minimum Experience: 3 years; 1st Timers not accepted
- Previous Charge Experience Required
- Patient Population: Adolescents to Geriatrics
- Certifications Required: BLS General Skills and Work Setting Requirements:
- Main OR does not include scrub and/or circulating for OH and Vascular specialties.
- Pharmacy in the department. Service Lines:
- High volume of total joints: hips, knees, and shoulders
- High volume of robotics: general, urology, colorectal, and gyn
- High volume of spine/neuro cases: cervical, lumbar, thoracic fusions, and craniotomies Procedure Types:
- Neuro/Spine:
- Laminectomy, Spine, Cervical, with Posterior Fusion
- Kyphoplasty
- Craniotomy, for Brain Neoplasm Excision, using Navigation System
- Fusion, Spine, Lumbar, 3 or more levels, Posterior Approach
- Fusion, Spine, Lumbar, Interbody, Lateral Approach
- Robotics:
- Resection, Colon, Low Anterior, Hand-assisted, Laparoscopic vs Robotic
- Robotic Low Anterior Resection, Splenic Flexure Mobilization
- Cholecystectomy, Appendectomy, Hernia Repair
- Prostatectomy, Radical, XI Robot-Assisted, with Lymphadenectomy
- Upper Lobectomy, Lung, XI Robot-Assisted
- Urology:
- TURP (Transurethral Resection of Prostate)
- Cystolitholapaxy
- Cystoscopy, with TURP using Aquablation Technique
- Ureteroscopy, using Laser
- Ortho:
- TKA, THA, RTKA, RTHA, TSA, TAA
- ORIF (Hip, Wrist, Patella)
- ACL Reconstruction, Arthroscopy Unit Details:
- Staffing & Scheduling:
- 16 Rooms with average daily census of 35
- Epic (Required), Pyxis, SBAR, 2 Davinci XI Robots, 1 Mako Ortho Robot
- Call Requirements: 7-8 calls in an 8 Week Schedule
- Additional Information:
- RTO: MAX 7 days
- Weekend Coverage: 2-3 weekends per 8-week schedule, either in-house or on call Compliance:
- Full compliance required to start on time
- Candidates will be reviewed clinically to determine fit
