Job Description The Electronic Technician will be work with our glassware inspection systems and some new technology manufacturing systems: robotics, vision systems, PLC, etc. The technician will monitor inspection and electronics equipment. The Electronics Technicianwill: Troubleshoot, maintain and repair complete systems, including vision systems, servo controls, instrumentation and machine controls Repair all electrical or electronic equipment and component parts Monitor inspection machine performance and make adjustments where necessary The Electronic Technician should have: Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and skills Experience working from complex blue prints, wiring diagrams, shop hands books and layouts Thorough knowledge of mechanical principles and application of equipment, such as motors, switches, generators, conveyors, machinery, etc. Experience with 480v motors and controls and variable frequency drives Ability to learn new systems quickly Qualifications 2 year degree in Electrical Technology OR 3 years experience in an Industrial Electrician or similar position Completion of the NY State Certified Apprenticeship program is preferredPrevious experience with PLCs, servo controls and vision systems is preferred High School Graduate or GED Able to lift 25 lbs. on a regular basis Additional Information What We Offer: Hourly Wage: The hourly wage for this position is $37.29 O-I offers a very generous benefit package – some of the highlights are: Vacation time and paid holidays Medical, dental, prescription and vision care coverage Pre-tax accounts Well-being program which includes opportunity to earn employer contributions Life and AD&D Insurance Disability Insurance 401(k) retirement saving plans with employer contributions Financial advisors to assist with retirement planning and financial wellness Employee Assistance Program All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
