Job Description:
- Shift: 19:00-07:00
- Unit Information:
- Number of Beds: 22
- Vertical Space Area for Additional Patients
- Number of Staff: Approximately 50
- Team Structure:
- Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 5-6 RNs, 1 Tech, 1 Medic
- Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 5-6 RNs, 1 Secretary, 1 Tech/Medic
- Patient Ratios: 1:4
- Equipment Used:
- Phillips & GE Monitors
- Level 1 Rapid Infuser
- Electronic Medical Records: Meditech (EDM)
- Typical Hiring Profile:
- Must Have Skills:
- Strong IV skills (adult & pediatric)
- Excellent communication skills
- Preferred Skills:
- Trauma experience
- TNCC
- Meditech experience
- Typical Procedures Performed on Unit:
- Cardioversion
- Central line placements
- Cardiac arrests
- IV insertions, EKGs, etc. (basic ER skills)
- Pacemaker interrogation
- Code Stroke protocol
- Code Sepsis protocol
- Suture/abscess setup
- Best Personality Fit:

- Required Certifications:
- BLS

- Scrub Color/Attire: Teal top with black or teal bottoms
- Unit Guidelines/Policies:
- Weekends: Every other weekend, at least 1 Friday & 1 Monday within a 4-week schedule
- No on-call required
- Number of Positions: 1-2
- Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Contract Weeks: 91
