About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years L&D experience required License: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: Cerner experience required Description: Candidates must live 50 miles away. All candidates must be available to start within 7 days of offer. No pushed starts are allowed. This is a rapid start position. Expedited onboarding is approved for travelers. Travelers must provide compliance items to start. National Background Screen, including OIG, EPLS, NSO, etc., is required within 90 days. Flu and COVID vaccination or declination form must be submitted. Current license verification (Nursys and BON) is required. Current certifications (ACLS, BLS, NRP, etc.) must be provided. All additional requirements must be submitted no later than 7 days from the assignment start date. The contract will be canceled if remaining documents are not received by the deadline. Patient population includes females of childbearing years, pregnant individuals, laboring patients, and scheduled procedures. Common procedures include C-sections, external cephalic versions, cerclage, and triage issues. The activities on the unit include admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, and deliveries (vaginal and C/S). Common equipment used in Labor and Delivery includes fetal monitors, Cerner, and Fetalink documentation.
