Tenure Track Assistant Professor Of Mathematics
The School of Arts & Sciences seeks dynamic applicants for a Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Mathematics.
Responsibilities include developing and implementing courses in both upper and lower division mathematics and data science, teaching 12 credit hours per semester in Fall and Spring terms, maintaining on campus office hours, preparing lesson plans, syllabi, including course objectives, lectures, and other course materials such as quizzes and exams, and submission of final grades and attendance reports. Some online teaching may be required. Teach both day and evening classes at the Brunswick campus or the Camden Center location, as needed. Engage in service, professional development and scholarship activities. Conduct academic advisement and career counseling. Maintain a commitment to high impact practices.
Required Qualifications include a Doctoral degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or closely related field from a regionally accredited institution at the time of hire.
Preferred Experience includes online teaching and a background in data science, applied mathematics, or computer science with the ability to teach a variety of programming or data science courses.
