Job Description\n\nInsight Global is looking for a qualified Project Engineer to act as the Owner's Representative on federal construction project, ensuring successful project delivery by overseeing all aspects of construction management. This role involves providing design oversight and review, review of scheduling and cost, and engaging with subcontractors, and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical construction projects, and an understanding of federal regulations and compliance requirements. Supporting the Architect of the Capitol, this position offers the unique opportunity to work on some the most historic and iconic buildings in the nation. This position is directly supporting the the Senate Office Buildings in Washington DC and is 5 days onsite. \n\nDay-to-Day:\nThe Project Engineer works closely with the client as the owner’s representative, providing technical guidance and support to facilitate informed project decisions. The Project Engineer supports the Project Construction Manager throughout the planning, procurement, and construction phases of the project. \nKey responsibilities include reviewing and updating project schedules, evaluating cost estimates, and conducting constructability reviews to identify potential design conflicts, coordination issues, safety concerns, and opportunities to improve project execution. \nThis role is also responsible for performing and coordinating professional technical reviews related to procurement and construction activities. \nThese reviews may include evaluating design documents, specifications, equipment selections, material submittals, contractor proposals, RFIs, and change requests to ensure compliance with project requirements, applicable codes, standards, and established quality expectations.
