Mechatronics & Robotics Technician - JLL We are looking for a skilled Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to support our Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment, mentor junior technicians, and ensure a safe working environment. Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures. Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) – belts, motors, photo‑eyes, relays, etc. Maintain a positive working relationship across all the Operations facility. Track and store department inventory. Move up to 49 lbs and stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas, including weekends, nights and/or holidays. 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment. 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures. Physical ability to lift parts and tools weighing on average 20 lbs, occasionally up to 49 lbs. Physical demands and working conditions in accordance with the details listed below. Preferred Qualifications Associate’s or higher degree from a vocational school or college focused on Mechanical or Electrical engineering. 2+ years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls. 1+ year of blueprint and electrical schematic reading. 1+ year of knowledge of electrical and electronic principles. Experience with Material Handling Equipment safety standards, OEM guidelines, and CMMS. Experience with robotic or electromechanical operation and maintenance; ability to troubleshoot input and output functions. Physical Demands & Working Conditions Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking. Lifting up to 49 lbs; equipment weighing over 100 lbs may be pushed or pulled. Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, feet (pedal use), manual, and wrist motion. Work may involve small spaces, dust, fumes, hot/cold temperatures, noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours, wet or uneven surfaces. Potential to work at heights.
