Client Service Professional

About the Role As aseasonal Client Service Professional / Receptionist at H&R Block, you'll be the welcoming first impression for every client. You'll manage client scheduling, support daily office operations, and work alongside a team of tax professionals. With training and support, this role can be a stepping stone to tax preparation or office leadership. This role is in-person and not remote. Greet clients warmly and create a welcoming, professional first impression as the face of the office Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and match clients with the right tax professional based on their needs Manage client check-in and intake processes, including scanning and organizing documents Maintain office organization and cleanliness to support a smooth, professional client experience Collaborate with tax professionals and team members to ensure seamless daily operations Handle sensitive client information with confidentiality, discretion, and care Required Qualifications Experience working in a fast-paced, client-centric environment Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and serve clients professionally Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities throughout the day Organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through Comfort using basic computer programs and digital tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Teams and scheduling systems) Availability to work evenings and weekends during tax season Preferred Qualifications High school diploma/GEDor equivalent Previous experience in hospitality, call center, customer service or medical industries Previous experience in a receptionist, front desk, or administrative support role Experience working in a tax office, CPA firm, or financial services environment Why work for us At H&R Block, our purpose is simple: to provide help and inspire confidence in our clients and communities everywhere.
