The Food Runner plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless dining experience by delivering dishes from the kitchen to guests promptly and accurately. This position supports the wait staff in a fine dining environment, maintaining the highest standards of service and presentation.

The work hours for this position may include afternoons, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.

Be able to anticipate customer needs, deliver on those needs, and exceed expectations. Identify service deficiencies and communicate effectively with managers before they become long-term issues. Demonstrate customer hospitality and service standards by providing excellent one-on-one customer service. Be reliable, responsible, dependable, and fulfill obligations. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to effectively communicate, motivate, and interact with all customers to help build and speak about the culture of Guckenheimer/ISS. Develop and maintain good relations with cooks, servers, porters, and managers. Greet, smile, make eye contact, and make customers feel welcome.

Minimum 2 years of customer service experience in fine dining and executive-level service. Knowledge of food principles and processes for providing customer service. Knowledge and skill in standard fine dining service techniques. Must be able to work cooperatively with all co-workers, treating them with courtesy and respect always. Must act professionally to set an example for all others, even when acting in the capacity of a wait person. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests quickly and accurately. Confirm that each dish matches the order ticket and meets presentation standards before leaving the kitchen. Assist servers by explaining dishes to guests when necessary. Maintain clear communication between the kitchen and dining room to ensure timely service. Help keep service stations organized and stocked. Support the wait staff during peak hours by clearing plates and resetting tables when needed. Uphold all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines. Comply with all SERV Safe and HACCP programs and principles. Respond to customer concerns professionally and urgently per company policy. Must follow all safety rules and be actively aware and observant in the prevention of accidents. Commitment to the service values and ethics per the company's standard. Assist internal and external guests, place requests, and answer inquiries in a friendly manner. Administer efficient delivery of food and drinks to the dinner table to ensure good dining services. Perform end-of-shift closeout tasks. Provide exceptional table service to our customers and maintain the table appearance. Must follow other duties as assigned.

Work up to 8 hours a day on your feet, excluding breaks. Must be able to lift a minimum of 25lbs. Come to work properly dressed according to the dress code. Employees must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods.
