Building Engineer | Commercial Office | $100k-$115k base salary

Hays Facilities Management has partnered with a leading management services firm who are looking to hire a Building Engineer to maintain critical systems for a commercial office campus in Westchester, NY. This key role will also lead all facility operations across the asset, ensuring delivery of a safe, efficient, and first-class experience for tenants.

Your new role


As the Building Engineer, you will be responsible for the reliable operations of all building infrastructure, with a focus on achieving 100% uptime. Acting as the primary engineering point of contact and working alongside the onsite Property Management team, you will oversee daily operations, preventive maintenance, vendor management, inspections, and emergency response. Duties will also include annual budgeting and capital planning, compliance with all Federal, State, and Local regulations, and providing on-call support as required.

What you'll need to succeed

• 7+ years of commercial building engineering or facilities maintenance experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Technical/trade certifications strongly preferred
• Universal CFC Certification preferred
• OSHA certification/training required
• Strong working knowledge of:

• HVAC systems
• Pneumatic controls
• Cooling towers
• Boilers
• BMS platforms
• Electrical and mechanical systems
• Fire & Life Safety systems
