Surgery - General Nurse Practitioner

A fantastic opportunity awaits experienced Surgical Nurse Practitioners to join our trauma surgery team at a pediatric trauma center. This role is vital for providing top-tier care, consulting on pediatric cases, and potentially performing surgeries such as endoscopic appendectomies. Ideal candidates should be comfortable with a 7-day shift rotation in an inpatient setting.

• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens
• Setting: Inpatient Clinic
• Start Date: ASAP
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, either 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Patient Population: All Ages, primarily involved with pediatric cases
• Location: Richland, WA
• Stipends: Housing and travel options can be discussed for non-local candidates

• Provide trauma surgery support and consultations in a Level 3 Pediatric Trauma Center.
• Perform pediatric surgeries and other surgical procedures as required.
• Consult and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage pediatric cases.

• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner
• Active License (or eligibility for IMLC)
• DEA certification is required
• Must hold ACLS certification
• Experience in pediatric surgery is essential

• 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Must be flexible to cover shifts as needed and as they become available

• Strong surgical and clinical skills, particularly in pediatric cases
• Ability to work effectively in a high-paced trauma environment
• Excellent communication and consultation skills with medical staff and families
