Community Health Specialist

Description Location: UCHealth Memorial Hosp Central - Colorado Springs, CO. Department: SRSS Healthy Hearts and Minds Work Schedule: PRN, 0.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Flex Pay: $25.80 - $38.70 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option Summary Designs, develops, and delivers community health programs and resources. Responsibilities Perform community biometric screenings including lipids and glucose via fingerstick, blood pressure, height and weight in schools with students and families. May provide cardiovascular education, hands-only-CPR education in schools and with families based on department needs. Develops program content based on research and analysis of subject and population-specific data and community needs. Develops and implements marketing campaigns to promote awareness of programs and resources. Provides health education and resources to staff, patients, families, schools and community groups. May organize and facilitate community health screenings, wellness programs, and educational activities. Serves as a community health resource and consultant to staff, physicians, community agencies, and other community health professionals. May collaborate on procuring funding and resources that support program initiatives. May collaborate on the design and implementation of research projects. Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action. Requirements High school diploma or GED. Valid state driver's license and insurance required.
