Job Opportunity: Salesforce Developer | Contract-to-Hire | Hybrid - Long Island, NY (2-3 Days Onsite) Overview Our client is seeking a Salesforce Developer to join their growing technology team as they continue investing in their core Salesforce platform. Salesforce sits at the heart of the business, supporting most customer and operational processes, with ongoing initiatives focused on platform modernization, automation, AI adoption, and bringing development capability in-house. Role Purpose The Salesforce Developer will play a key role in designing, developing, and enhancing a business‑critical Salesforce environment that underpins customer engagement and operational processes across the organization. Working closely with the CTO, Team Lead, and broader technology team, this individual will contribute to platform modernization initiatives, integration projects, and AI‑driven enhancements while helping establish a sustainable internal engineering capability. Key Responsibilities Develop and enhance Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud and Experience Cloud Build, maintain, and customize Apex‑based applications Design, develop, and support API integrations with internal and external systems Contribute to platform modernization, optimization, and architectural improvements Support AI‑enabled automation, data enrichment, and workflow initiatives Participate in technical design discussions and architecture reviews Collaborate with QA teams, business stakeholders, and technology leadership to deliver business‑critical projects Assist in transitioning platform ownership and knowledge from offshore development partners to the internal engineering team Help drive best practices, scalability, and long‑term maintainability across the Salesforce estate Experience Requirements Strong commercial experience developing on the Salesforce platform Hands‑on expertise with Apex development and custom Salesforce solutions Experience integrating Salesforce with third‑party systems and APIs Exposure to Python development is highly desirable Interest or experience in AI‑driven solutions, automation, and emerging technologies Financial services experience is beneficial, with lending experience considered a plus Ability to work effectively within a collaborative and fast‑paced technology environment Technology Environment Salesforce Sales Cloud Salesforce Experience Cloud Customer Community Cloud Apex APIs and integrations Python AI technologies including Gemini and Claude Why This Role Stands Out This is an opportunity to join a business at a pivotal stage of its Salesforce journey, where significant investment is being made in platform innovation, AI adoption, and internal engineering growth.
