Clinical Leader (RN) - Hybrid Intermediate/Medical Surgical Unit-Nights

Job Description Summary The RN Clinical Leader provides leadership and coordinates the design, development, implementation and evaluation of program services within the area of responsibility. They ensure quality, service and satisfaction goals are met, monitor efficient utilization of resources, financial performance and productivity standards, and collaborate with department leaders to manage day‑to‑day operations. Responsibilities and Duties Perform clinical operations and supervisory duties to ensure quality, services and satisfaction to clients served (approximately 75% of time). Serve as a direct care provider when needed, maintaining recognized standards of clinical practice and patient care. Coordinate the integration of the interdisciplinary team to achieve effective patient outcomes and efficient resource utilization. Direct, delegate and/or engage in treatment of patients and families to achieve optimal health outcomes. Serve as a central resource person, maintaining open and accurate communication for all customers. Create efficient schedules for interdisciplinary staff and patients to assure appropriate staff/skill mix. Establish systems, processes, standards and structure, working collaboratively with leadership to assure smooth operations, safety, patient satisfaction and effective service delivery. Participate in recruitment activities, staff development, and act as a clinical resource for interdisciplinary staff. Provide orientation, appraisal, ongoing supervision, feedback and goal setting. Communicate with interdisciplinary staff through regular meetings, memos and updates; coordinate unit and hospital‑based committees to improve practice and patient outcomes. Perform departmental audits, daily rounds on patients and associates, and provide real‑time feedback. Assist the direct manager in maintaining and identifying budget needs, ensuring cost‑efficient use of department resources. Minimum Qualifications Registered Nurse licensure in Ohio. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; at least 5 years employment in the organization. BLS certification (Basic Life Support) with minimum 2 years of clinical experience. CPR certification (American Red Cross) required. Work Shift Night shift, scheduled weekly hours 36. Department: Medical Unit 3.
