CVICU Registered Nurse

Seeking a highly skilled CVICU Registered Nurse to provide specialized cardiac critical care. This role involves managing complex cardiovascular patients and supporting post-surgical recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver advanced nursing care to critically ill cardiac patients in the CVICU.
• Monitor patient status using A-Lines, Swan-Ganz, thermodilution PA catheters, and other invasive devices.
• Administer medications via drips, vents, sheaths, dialysis, and perform ABG draws.
• Respond to patient emergencies, interpret EKG strips, and manage hemodynamic monitoring.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current state or compact certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of dedicated CVICU experience.
• Proficiency in EPIC charting and critical care technologies.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Experience with Impella, post-cardiac surgery (from and not directly from OR), cardiac cath/interventions, and pulmonary artery monitoring preferred.
• Ability to interpret EKG strips and manage complex cardiac interventions.
