Registered Nurse – Neuro PcU

Schedule: Nights, 12 hours (7 PM - 7:15 AM), Every Other Weekend/Holiday

Assignment Details: Contract Length: 13 weeks, Guaranteed Hours: 36

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience
• Neuro PcU Experience
• Active Michigan License
• Active American Heart Association Bls
• Active American Heart Association AcLs
• Active NIHSS Certification
• Skills Checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty (PcU)
• 2 Supervisory Reference Forms completed within the last two years

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Regularly assess patient needs and provide skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician's plan of care and accepted standards of evidence-based nursing practice.
• Provide direct patient care including medication administration, treatments, education, and assistance with transfers.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and collaborate with team members to update/revise treatment as needed.
• Act as a team leader/member and resource to others, delegating and overseeing support staff.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to establish goals and outcomes for each patient.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines relating to care provided in the medical center.
