School Physical Therapist | Sugar Land, Texas

Step into a rewarding full-time role supporting K12 students across a vibrant Houston-area district. We're seeking a Physical Therapist or, as a second choice, an experienced Physical Therapist Assistant with a background in school-based or pediatric settings. This contract position is on-site only and requires commitment to a 37.5-hour workweek, with a start as soon as possible and service continuing through May 2027.

Youll collaborate with another PT to provide services across 50 campuses, addressing the needs of approximately 160 students (about 50 direct service cases). The position is structured to accommodate district-wide coverageuse the district office as your base as you travel to various schools. Your expertise will foster student growth, functional mobility, and independence within educational settings.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Texas PT licensure required (PTA with extensive pediatric or school experience may be considered)
• Prior experience delivering PT services in schools or with pediatric clients is highly desirable
• Proficiency with documentation platforms, especially Frontline and SuccessEd
• Must successfully complete state fingerprinting and background check
• Open to full-time availability only (37.5 hours/week)
• Will need to verify employment history, particularly prior roles with this district or any previous terminations from school districts

Responsibilities:

• Assess and implement PT interventions for a diverse student population, Kindergarten through 12th grade
• Coordinate with district staff, families, and educational teams to develop and review student care plans
• Complete timely, accurate documentation
• Travel between assigned campuses in the district (district office may be used as home base)
• Adhere to all compliance and credentialing requirements
