Looking for a Lead Teacher who loves being part of the moments that make childhood so special—building relationships, encouraging confidence, and helping children discover the joy of learning.

Salary: $15/hour and up , based on experience and Wisconsin Registry level.

As a Lead Teacher, you’ll be the heart of your classroom. You’ll create a welcoming, engaging environment where children feel safe, valued, and excited to come each day. You’ll plan and guide meaningful activities that support each child’s development while following their interests and encouraging their natural curiosity.

You’ll also lead and support your classroom team, helping create a positive and collaborative environment where everyone can do their best work. Strong communication with families is an important part of the role, and we want our teachers to build genuine relationships with parents while keeping them connected to their child’s growth, learning, and day-to-day experiences.

We’re looking for someone who is confident in leading a classroom but never stops learning themselves. Someone who can turn a simple moment into a learning opportunity, celebrate the little victories, stay calm through the challenging moments, and make children feel truly known and cared for.

• Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards
• Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching.
• Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth.
• Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
• Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met.
• Ensure a healthy classroom environment – including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.
• Supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers to ensure they are following planned activities, hygiene and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records, forms and files.
• Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.

• High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
• A strong understanding of child development.
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
• Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
• Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
