Maintenance Manager

Location: 1217 E St Gertrude Place, Santa Ana, CA 92707. Work Shift: Salary Exempt (United State of America). Overview The Maintenance Manager is a leader responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of hydraulic and electrical equipment in a blow‑molded bottle manufacturing plant. The role coordinates mechanical and electrical needs, supports expense project work, and manages the maintenance department in accordance with State, Federal, and company regulations. Responsibilities Provide leadership and direction to maintenance technicians engaged in electrical and mechanical operations. Collaboratively drive improvements through daily interaction with all employees on the production floor. Inspect jobs in process and at completion to maintain standards of workmanship and safety. Express a strong sense of urgency and communicate it constructively to technicians. Organize and prioritize work orders, red tags, and estimated work hour requirements; delegate tasks accordingly. Plan, direct, and control the maintenance department to keep plant equipment and facilities in good condition. Recommend and plan equipment needs to improve production efficiency or reduce costs through continuous improvement. Lead / participate in Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, and other tools. Oversee the plant preventive maintenance program to ensure equipment readiness. Maintain vendor contacts for requisition of materials, supplies, and services. Ensure all installations and modifications meet or exceed regulatory and company standards. Monitor and report maintenance key indicators to the Plant Manager. Maintain equipment and facility records, including manuals, schematics, and drawings. Develop and manage personnel through selection, training, and assignment. Set performance objectives and standards for projects aligned with departmental goals. Control departmental budget and ensure work is completed within budget and time constraints. Participate in cross‑department meetings to resolve problems and implement new procedures. Maintain inventory control of MRO parts and supplies. Adhere to safety and food safety/quality policies and report nonconformities. Adhere to GMP policies and report nonconformities. Work 24/7 as required. Minimum Requirements BA/BS in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related field. 5 years’ experience in an industrial maintenance capacity. 3–5 years’ direct supervision and management in maintenance or production. Blow / injection mold experience preferred. Knowledge of factory automation: PLC, HMI programming, network configuration, servo systems preferred. Knowledge of chiller systems, compressed air generation, and sanitary welding preferred. Experience with JDE or similar operating systems preferred. Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing. Use Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word, and company computer systems such as JDE. Organize time, energy, and resources effectively. Perform arithmetic and mathematical calculations. Establish effective relationships with internal staff, external customers, partners, and vendors. Interpersonal skills: good listening, influencing, and convincing others. Independent management of relationships at all levels.
