Medical Billing Lead / Manager

City Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine is a physician-led orthopaedic practice in Northern New Jersey.

We're hiring a data-driven, AI-enabled Medical Billing Lead / Manager to lead our billing team. Much of our billing work runs on AI and automation tools, and you'll help us use them well.

What you'll do

- Lead and support the billing team

- Make sure visits and surgeries are billed quickly and accurately

- Manage denials, appeals and A/R

- Use data and AI tools to move, process and analyze billing information

- Track results and improve processes

What you bring

- 3+ years of medical billing experience, ideally including team leadership

- Strong CPT, ICD-10 and payer knowledge

- Data-driven, with strong spreadsheet and reporting skills

- Comfortable using AI tools and automation in daily work

- Clear communication

Pay and benefits

- $80,000 - $125,000 per year, plus a performance bonus

- Medical insurance, 401(k), paid time off and holidays

- Full-time, on-site in East Rutherford, NJ

- Title and level based on experience
