Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite | Shifts: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 42-bed Medical Surgical unit serving medical, surgical, and orthopedic patient populations
• Manage a patient assignment of 1:5–6, with nurse aide support available at a 1:10–12 ratio
• Administer and monitor titratable Heparin drips as required; collaborate with 24-hour on-floor Respiratory Therapy staff
• Monitor patients utilizing telemetry on the floor with support from a centralized telemetry station
• Work alongside a Charge Nurse present on each shift; float to PCU or Burn units as needed
• Adhere to weekend and holiday scheduling requirements as needed throughout the contract period

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
• Must successfully pass an open-book skills exam with a minimum score of 90% during orientation
• Compliance with facility fingernail policy: artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Medical Surgical, orthopedic, or similar acute care setting
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and Heparin drip management
• Experience working in units with PCU or Burn float requirements
