Location: Livermore, CA
Reports To: Tube Filling Supervisor
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM-1:30 PM or 6:00 AM-2:30 PM, depending on business needs
Pay: $22-$25 an hour Based on experience
Position Summary
Empire Workforce Solutions is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cosmetic Tube Filling Operator to join a manufacturing team in the Livermore, CA area. The Tube Filling Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining tube-filling and packaging equipment while following established SOPs and cGMP requirements.
This position performs equipment changeovers, tooling changes, minor troubleshooting, equipment cleaning, and other production support duties to ensure efficient and consistent production.
Job Description:

• Monitor equipment while running to assure optimal throughput
• Provide line personnel with guidance on how to operate the equipment.
• Basic knowledge of packaging equipment to ensure minor troubleshooting and correct issues.
• Inform Set-Up Supervisor of potential equipment issues/failures
• Disassemble/Assemble filling/packaging equipment as necessary, Set Lot/Batch numbers and expiration date based on customer order.
• Tools must be organized and clean and free of unnecessary parts, keep and maintain working area clean, perform equipment cleaning by dismantling and assemble equipment according to equipment cleaning SOP in a specified time of execution. Ex. filling equipment, transfer pumps, etc.
• Prepare equipment or standby equipment such as nozzle, piston, transfer pumps, etc. with Set-Up Supervisor prior to initial use per Set-Up & Cleaner instructions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of GMP in a pharmaceutical or personal care industry.
• Ability to follow strict written instructions.
• Ability to lift to 70lbs.
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and some written communication skills. Communicate effectively with Management and personnel of all departments.
• Strong sense of accountability, responsibility, and ownership of tasks assigned
• Exhibit a professional standard and strong work ethic.
• Appropriate time management skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to interface with other personnel within the company.
• Motivated self-starter with ability to work in a team environment.
• Consistent performance with a sense of urgency and commitment.

Other Responsibilities:

• Must be able to work different working schedule as deemed by business necessity, be able to work extra hours with advance or no advance notification deemed by business needs.
• Be able to read and write in English and fill out paperwork, be able to lift materials/equipment weighing between 25-50lbs.
• Ensure components have been checked by Supervisor and QA personnel before equipment set up.
• Coordinate routine maintenance and perform minor repairs together with maintenance personnel.
• Support and lead process improvement initiatives.
• Facilities cleaning & sanitation as needed
• Assist with physical inventory counts
• Maintain cGMP Compliance
