PICU/PEDS/Children's ER Respiratory Therapist
Location: Allentown, PA
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: Night 4x12-Hour Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Job Description: The Respiratory Therapist will provide care in a 40-bed Level IV NICU, floating between neonatal and pediatric units as needed. This position requires a minimum of 1 year of experience in a Level 3 NICU or PICU. The role involves working with critically ill and extremely premature infants and children.
Responsibilities:
- Perform respiratory procedures including Bubble CPAP, CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BIPAP, Intubation Assist, and Extubation.
- Administer treatments and monitor patient responses in both NICU and pediatric settings.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- 1+ years of experience in a Level 3 NICU or PICU.
- Current Pennsylvania Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License.
- Valid certifications: RRT, BLS, NRP required; PALS preferred.
