Our organization operates Hillcrest Medical Center, a 656-bed facility that features The Alexander Burn Center, The Peggy V. Helmerich Women’s Health Center, Kaiser Rehabilitation Center, advanced cancer treatment technologies, and the Oklahoma Heart Institute.

Responsibilities

The Electrophysiology (EP) Technologist is a proficient allied health professional tasked with delivering advanced technical support within the cardiac electrophysiology lab. Under the guidance of the electrophysiologist, this position aids in intricate diagnostic and interventional procedures, which include catheter ablations, as well as the implantation of pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs), along with cardiac monitoring.

The ideal candidate will possess active registry credentials (ARRT, RCES, or RCIS) and have proven hands-on experience with EP procedures.

Qualifications

• Job Requirements:
  • Active registry credential in one or more of the following:
    • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) — Cardiovascular Interventional (CV) or Radiography (R)
    • RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist) — via IBHRE
    • RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) — via CCI
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac catheterization or electrophysiology lab
  • Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, dysrhythmia interpretation, and electrophysiology principles
  • Current ACLS certification
  • BLS certification must be acquired within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role, prior to engaging in direct patient care
  • Proficiency in fluoroscopy and radiation safety protocols
• Preferred Job Requirements:
  • Hands-on experience in an EP lab with catheter ablation techniques (RF, cryoablation, or pulsed field ablation)
  • Experience in assisting with or implanting permanent pacemakers, ICDs, and CRT devices
  • Familiarity with 3D mapping systems such as CARTO (Biosense Webster), EnSite (Abbott), or Rhythmia (Boston Scientific)
  • Experience with subcutaneous ICD (S-ICD) and leadless pacemaker (Micra) implantation
  • Knowledge of EP recording software platforms (e.g., LabSystem Pro, Prucka CardioLab)
  • Experience with WATCHMAN LAA occlusion or structural heart procedures is a plus
  • Previous experience as a charge tech, lead, or preceptor
