Early Childhood Behavioral Health Specialist

Job Description

Dundalk Pediatric Associates is looking for an Early Childhood Behavioral Health Specialist to provide on-site (in clinic) consultations as part of the pediatric care team. As an early childhood development expert within the pediatric primary care team, the specialist will provide screening, assessment, brief interventions, consultative services, education, referral linkages, advocacy, and follow-up for families with children ages 0-5. This person will build strong relationships with families and with members of the care team (e.g., clinicians, clinical support staff, front-desk staff) to support team-based comprehensive care.

This position will receive training and supervision via the Johns Hopkins University High Five for Prenatal to Five collaborative early learning hub. The High Five for P-5 is a multi-site project focused on improving health equity through the provision of early childhood development supports within the context of pediatric primary care. Training and supervision in the implementation of at least three evidence-based models of care for young children, including HealthySteps, the Chicago Parent Program, and the Mothers and Babies Program, will be provided. This position will also participate in program evaluation activities (e.g., interviews, surveys, documenting services provided) as part of the collaboration with the High Five for P-5 project.
