Aesthetic Certified Medical Assistant

Description Position Summary The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to the physician and practice team in a plastic surgery and cosmetic procedures practice. This role assists with patient consultations, aesthetic treatments, minor procedures, patient education, and daily office operations while ensuring a high level of patient care and service. Essential Responsibilities Assist the providers during consultations, cosmetic procedures, and follow-up visits. Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, syringes, and supplies for aesthetic and cosmetic treatments in accordance with office protocols. Room patients, obtain medical histories, record vital signs, and document patient information. Take and manage clinical photographs for patient records. Provide pre- and post-procedure instructions and patient education. Maintain inventory of medical supplies, injectables, and skincare products. Ensure treatment rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared for patient care. Schedule appointments, coordinate follow-up visits, and assist with patient communications. Answer phones, respond to patient inquiries, and support front office operations as needed. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA and practice policies. Requirements Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification preferred. Must be a certified Medical Assistant or certified Phlebotomist Previous experience in plastic surgery, dermatology, aesthetics, cosmetic medicine, or a medical office preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, patient care procedures, and infection control practices. Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer applications. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday. Ability to sit, bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds.
