Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable General Dentist for an ongoing, month-to-month contract assignment within an outpatient dental clinic. This position focuses entirely on general "bread-and-butter" dentistry (preventative, restorative, and routine clinical procedures). This role is ideal for a practitioner looking for a stable, daytime schedule with a predictable pace and zero on-call obligations.

Position & Schedule Details:

• Job Type: Full-Time, Contract / Locum Tenens (Ongoing month-to-month basis)
• Clinical Setting: Outpatient Dental Clinic (On-Site)
• Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (4-day workweek).
• Call Requirements: Scheduled operational hours only; No Call required.
• Orientation: Standard departmental walkthrough; all orientation hours are fully billable.

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications:

Licensure & Credentials:

• State Licensure: Must hold an active, unrestricted State Dental License (DDS/DMD) in the state of practice at the time of submission (No pending license or "willing to license" options for this immediate opening) .
• Federal Registrations: Active Federal DEA registration for prescriptive authority.
• State Registrations: Active state Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) where applicable.

Key Responsibilities:

• General Dental Care: Deliver high-quality, routine general dentistry services, including diagnostic examinations, preventative care, fillings, extractions, crowns, and basic restorative treatments.
• Patient Consultations: Evaluate patient dental records, diagnose oral conditions, and formulate tailored, patient-centric treatment plans.
• Outpatient Workflow Management: Lead the clinical chairside space efficiently, collaborating fluidly with dental hygienists and dental assistants to maintain a steady patient flow.
• Clinical Documentation: Maintain meticulous, complete, and legally compliant electronic health charting detailing dental assessments, completed procedures, and prescribed medications.
