Contract (13 or 26 Weeks) | Nights | 3x12 or 4x12 Hours (19:00–07:30) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to Labor & Delivery patients in a high-risk OB unit, including patients with inductions and high-risk antepartum needs
• Manage patient care across OB Triage, LDR rooms, OR suites, and PACU in a fast-paced environment averaging up to 14 patients per shift
• Perform third-trimester testing and triage assessments for OB patients as needed
• Float to like units within the facility or affiliate hospitals as needed to meet patient care demands
• Work every other weekend as part of the standard schedule
• Participate in charge nurse responsibilities; charge experience preferred or training may be provided

Required Qualifications

• Active Alaska RN license (pending license accepted for submission; license must be in hand prior to offer)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records
• Hepatitis B vaccine required; titers and declinations are not accepted
• 2 references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required during compliance
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge nurse experience in a Labor & Delivery or similar OB setting
• Experience in a high-risk OB or Magnet-designated facility
• Familiarity with high-volume delivery environments and antepartum care
