Programming Analyst

Schedule: Hybrid - 3 days onsite / 2 days remote Please Note: Candidates must currently reside in the Greater St. Louis area No relocation or sponsorship available Join a Team That Keeps a City Moving Our client is seeking an experienced Programmer Analyst III to join its Information Technology team. This is an excellent opportunity for a software developer who enjoys building enterprise applications, solving complex technical challenges, and collaborating with business stakeholders to improve critical operational systems. You’ll play a key role in designing, developing, supporting, and enhancing applications that help power one of the region’s largest public transportation organizations. What You’ll Do Design, develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise software applications. Analyze business and technical requirements to deliver scalable solutions. Develop custom applications and enhance existing systems. Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues. Build and maintain web applications using Microsoft's .NET technologies. Develop and support APIs and web services. Work closely with business leaders, end users, and IT teams. Mentor junior developers and contribute to best practices. Recommend technology improvements that increase efficiency and performance. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience. Strong experience with: Microsoft Visual Studio C# .NET ASP.NET Experience developing web-based applications and APIs. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple teams. Preferred Experience Entity Framework Oracle PL/SQL Microsoft SQL Server & T-SQL GitHub SOAP/WCF Web Services XML & LINQ Progressive Web Applications (PWA) WordPress Microsoft Visio Experience with transit or workforce management applications (Trapeze or GIRO HASTUS) is a plus.
