Golf Course Superintendent

Job Description The Golf Course Superintendent will be responsible for the overall maintenance, agronomic health, and presentation of the course and practice areas. This supervisor will oversee daily operations, a staff of 10-15, and implement forward-thinking agronomic practices to improve course conditions. Responsibilities Plan, supervise, and execute all aspects of golf course maintenance, including greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and practice areas Develop and implement agronomic plan (fertility, irrigation, pest management, and cultural practices) Lead the grounds maintenance team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence Oversee and optimize water management and conservation strategies Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations Coordinate with golf operations staff to ensure course conditions align with tournament schedules and daily play Maintain accurate records of chemical applications, equipment maintenance, and agronomic data Assist in long-term planning and execution of course improvement projects Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent Degree or certification in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, or related field preferred GCSAA Class A membership or ability to obtain certification required Strong knowledge of Bermuda and Bentgrass Experience with irrigation systems (toro/rainbird) and water management best practices Proven leadership and team management skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
