Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC milling and turning equipment to produce high-quality, precision components. The ideal candidate will be able to read engineering drawings, work with GD&T, select appropriate tooling, set machine offsets, and maintain tight dimensional tolerances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC mills and/or CNC lathes.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, workholding, speeds, and feeds.
- Set tool and work offsets and make machine adjustments as needed.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments.
- Perform in-process and final quality inspections.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments.
- Work with CNC programs and perform minor program edits when required.
- Maintain tooling and equipment and keep the work area clean and safe.
- Produce prototype, short-run, and precision components efficiently and accurately.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of CNC machining experience preferred.
- Strong experience operating and setting up CNC milling and/or turning equipment.
- Ability to independently set up CNC machines.
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.
- Experience with Haas or similar CNC equipment is a plus.
- Familiarity with CAM software is preferred.
- Experience machining aluminum, stainless steel, hardened materials, or exotic alloys is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
