Speech Language Pathologist in Newark, DE

Job Description

Discover a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist dedicated to supporting the communication needs of K-12 students near Wilmington, DE. This versatile position offers both full-time and part-time options, providing services within a school setting and assisting students who are medically homebound. You’ll be instrumental in helping every student reach their fullest potential, adapting to a dynamic caseload that may occasionally fluctuate across the academic year.

Start Date: August 25, 2026
End Date: June 8, 2027
Schedule: Monday – Friday, up to 37.5 hours per week (flexible options available)

What you’ll bring:

Current Delaware SLP license (required)
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
Experience working in schools or with pediatric populations
Comfort traveling between school sites and homebound assignments as needed
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Ability to tailor interventions to a diverse range of student abilities and needs

Key responsibilities:

Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in both school and homebound environments
Conduct assessments to determine needs and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
Consult with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
Maintain accurate, timely records in compliance with district and legal guidelines
Adapt service delivery and schedules to caseload needs throughout the school year
