CNC Programmer - Shreveport, LA
Pay: $28.00/hour+ DOE

Westaff is hiring a CNC Programmer for a manufacturing company in Shreveport, LA. Pay starts at $28.00 per hour and increases based on experience. The CNC Programmer will create, modify, and optimize CNC programs used to manufacture precision-machined parts. This position requires the ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, layouts, and CAD models to ensure parts are produced accurately and efficiently.


Responsibilities:

• Create and edit CNC programs for machining operations.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and CAD models.
• Select the proper tooling and machining methods for each job.
• Determine dimensions and tolerances of finished parts.
• Inspect sample parts to verify quality and accuracy.
• Troubleshoot programming and machining issues.
• Work with production teams to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Ensure all parts meet customer and quality specifications.

Qualifications:

• Previous CNC programming experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience with tooling, machining processes, and precision manufacturing.
• Must be able to use analog micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Strong math skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain tight tolerances and produce quality parts.
