Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Key Responsibilities Under RN supervision, assess patients' physical, psychological, and social dimensions in the Health Care Unit and housing units; contribute to individualized treatment planning and consult with RN and staff as needed. Implement treatment programs directed by health care practitioners; administer medications, including IV therapy (if certified), and perform diagnostic tests per established protocols and procedures. Collaborate in controlled substance counts at the start of each shift and adhere to safety techniques, procedures, and standard precautions; respond to codes or health emergencies within standard guidelines. Assist in medical or minor surgical procedures; implement nutrition and therapeutic diet plans; document nursing encounters using SOAP charting to ensure effective communication with nursing staff, physicians, and other relevant personnel. Attend mandatory staff meetings and training sessions; demonstrate commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to policies and procedures. Qualifications & Requirements Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Experience: Prefer a minimum of one year of clinic experience. Licenses/Certifications: Current licensure as a Licensed Practical/Licensed Vocational Nurse within the state of employment. Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
